The main two methods of isobutyl acetate production:
1. Derived from isobutanol and acetic anhydride in the presence of sulfuric acid. After adding acetic anhydride and isobutanol, add sulfuric acid dropwise, heat and reflux for 5-6 hours. Cool the reflux solution with water 2-3 times, neutralize with sodium carbonate, wash with water to neutrality, and dry it with calcium chloride. Decompression fractionation on the oil bath results in a finished product.
2. Derived from the direct esterification of isobutanol and acetic acid in the presence of a catalyst.
