On the morning of March 26, the Salt Lake City injection custom C&M Manufacturing company was destroyed by a fire.
A fire department spokesman in Salt Lake City said the dispatcher received an alarm call at 3:32 a.m. local time, and two dozen firefighters responded to the incident.No one was there and no one was hurt.
Audra Sorensen says about half of C&M's sites have been badly damaged.As of noon on March 26, firefighters were still on the scene, trying to find the cause of the fire.
According to its website, C&M's business has been operating for more than 25 years, and its early business was mainly to produce racing accessories.
C&M focuses on small and medium sized parts made from ABS and its mixed materials, polypropylene, polystyrene, nylon and engineering resin.The company has 10 injection molding machines with a locking force ranging from 60 tons to 310 tons.The company also engaged in CNC processing.
