PEAS opens Myanmar's largest petroleum product terminal
May 13, 2017

On May 8, Puma Energy Asia Sun (PEAS), a joint venture between Puma Energy and Burma's local company Asia Sun Energy (ASE), opened a terminal for petroleum products at the port of Dilawa, southeast of Yangon.

The terminal opened this time is Myanmar's largest and most modern terminal for petroleum products, investing 92 million U.S. dollars, which is the first in Myanmar's oil industry. With a storage capacity of 91,000 cubic meters, it is Myanmar's largest and most modern import terminal for refined products. The terminal's storage facilities can meet the needs of a range of petroleum products, including commercial fuels (petrols 95 and 92 and low-sulfur diesel), HFOs (heavy fuel oils, which are commonly used for power generation), asphalt and jet fuel.
